NATIONAL WORKSHOP ON RIVER LINKING PROJECT OF INDIA

Bangladesh People’s Initiative against River Linking Project (BPRIL), a group of national NGOs and professionals working on environment and social justice issues in Bangladesh is organizing a day long National Workshop on the debated River Linking Project of India on 8 July, 2004 at IDB Bhaban, Agargaon, Dhaka.

The objective of the workshop is to mobilize public opinion against the debated Indian river linking project. With support from the Manusher Jonno, the workshop is expected to be participated by a large number of members of the civil society both from national and local level and also by those affected by unfair water resource management projects and programs.
